1) what kinds of work would have you travel and have constant change
in topic, preferably with you as your own boss. Freelance
journalist/writer? Travel agent? Tour guide? I know someone who is
a programmer during the winter and works for the forest service during
the summer. There might be a way you can save up for retirement and
still have an ever-changing, ever-challenging "career". In my
immediate family, only mom held a single job for more than 5 years.
The rest of us (dad, brother and me) have changed every few years.
We're not rich, but we have food, housing, clothing, medical care and
we generally get to do the things we want to do.

2) Working is a waste of your life.....? have you studied much on the
life of humans 20- or 30,000 years ago? For them, working meant
day-to-day survival for food, shelter, clothing. They were doing
*very* well if they didn't starve during winter and actually had time
to make body decorations (jewelry, etc)--which was proof of "wealth".
Even now, the energy expended for day-to-day survival is put out by
someone somewhere. Whenever I notice myself feeling unthankful, I
remind myself of how easy I really have it. And then I remember how
hard *other* people have had to work to keep *me* alive....

3) What the hell is morally wrong with changing your work frequently?
If you're making your way through life, and living it the way you want
to, preparing for retirement, without hurting anyone else, then what
the hell is wrong with that??

I bet that last one is your biggest stumbling block.
