There are also things like Perl 5.005_03, LDAP (via nsswitch.conf),
sendmail 8.9.3, UDF file system (ie DVD support), /dev/poll for
faster I/O polling, PDA syncing, X11R6.4, apache, etc.

The role based access stuff is similar to sudo in its ideas... but allows
you to control down to the syscall level AFAIR. From what the droids where
saying you could give root-level access for a given user in any one of 1800+
areas. The role based stuff is configured so that the system behaves as you
would expect it when its first installed; you have to go and configure the
roles yourself. 

They are also making the source and binaries available from www.sun.com as
well. Binaries on the 6th March and the source 60 days after that.
