Sadly, these are original (and autobiographical):

bought by a $TELCO
unix system admins now
get no more free beer

the old guard resigns
do the right thing every time
clearly means nothing

salespeople can't sell
i can get laid off or take
an internal job

hardware fails monthly
support contract has expired
we have no budget

position posting
we are being forced to play
manager lotto

recruiting calls up
can we restore resumes
we need five years worth

protests are ignored
they think there is still someone
willing to work here

index retention
policy expires after
only one damn month

scanner is running
magnetic tape surface gone
fucking legato

keeping a straight face
during quarterly reorgs
just makes my teeth hurt

others ask advice
all that i can tell them is
down and not across

	The economy
	Is big, and kindly beckons
	In the spring, new job?

Five, Seven and Five.
A reference to Seasons
Like fall, makes Haiku.
