Run Xconfigurator from console and choose only one resolution, avoiding 16 bit color (this never works on mine and the half-tones are not properly displayed). On my macine, on the Mac side, I set a resolution of 800*600, with 32 colors and in the kernel arguments ..vmode=17cmode=24 (1024*768 at 24 bits). This is the resolution I modify XF86Config to either directly or through Xconfigurator, except that I change to 24 bits in linux.(Both work just the same). The file in question is XF86Config in /etc/X11. Actually, Xconfigurator configures this file to your system but I prefer modifying it myself, (the last lines in the file are the resolution and bitdepth). > 3. Can't help you with these but I suggest that once your happy with resolutions, change to Xpmac from the pre5 list on ftp://linuxppc.org. I find it much faster to XFDev68 qhich comes with R5.
