I believe the first operating system delivered with the CDC6600 was
SIPROS.  When CDC abandoned it on Valentine's Day 1966[?] they chose the
maintenance system CHOPS.  Kronos was developed on the 3x00 series of
systems [my wife was part of that project in 1969].  I thot the 6600 was
always CDC6600 and the Cyber name came with the CDC7600 follow-on.
