CDC3300 Photos These 5 photos show various views of our CDC 3300, S/N 6, which I ran here (in various configurations) from January 1972 until May of 1979. These Kodachrome slides were taken in March, 1976. This system was previously installed at Sir George Williams (now Concordia) University to replace the CDC 3300 system which was destroyed in the 1969 Computer Riot. Cyber Photos dspanel.gif (Oct. 11, 1978) - the deadstart panel of the Cyber 17x "Dial-a-Computer" at the CDC Benchmark Lab. The rotary switch in the upper right selected 10, 14, 17 or 20 PPs and the rotary switch in the lower right selected CPUs from a single CPU 171 to a dual CPU 174 as I recall, 23 years later! bmlab.gif (Oct. 11, 1978) - a general view of the CDC Benchmark Lab which was located in Bloomington, MN at that time. CDCcy171.gif (April 18, 1979) - Our Cyber 171, S/N 341, on the checkout floor at CDC's Meadowvale (Ontario, Canada) Operations. Note the profusion of exception tags attached to many of the modules. By the time this Cyber became operational in June of 1979 all the tags had been removed! I ran this system until February of 1987.
