If you've never seen a Quake movie or demo before, here are a few I HIGHLY
reccommend (yes, you do need Quake to play them):

http://www.planetquake.com/qdq/:
Quake done Quicker (the _classic_ speedrunning demo--I prefer to watch the
"All1635" 1pp version, but the movie version is very cool too) All their
other productions are excellent as well, especially the new awesomely fast
"Bunny Run"--completing all of Quake on easy difficulty in 12 minutes and
54 seconds, and Scourge done Slick (if you have the hipnotic pack).

http://www.planetquake.com/demoland/ or http://qmovies.vortexq.com/ (click
on highlight reels):
M3 Reel (this one ROCKS!)
Skillz Test 4 Reel (short and sweet)

http://methos.llamanet.net/ (click on Demos):
PGL Season 1 Finals: Thresh vs Reptile on DM2, both players' POV (from the
special PGL demos page, linked from the main demos page) Very revealing to
watch both views.
T3 finals--Death Row vs Unforgiven on DM3: Game 2 (Thresh POV) and Game 3
(B2 POV)
Lakerman vs Mastah Killah on DM2 (Semi-finals of the Swedish Cots
tournament--QuakeWorld 2.21 demo--Lakerman's moves are amazing)
Timber vs Nightwing on DM4 (Fusion 98 Tournament finals--QW 2.11 demo,
hope you still have your old version of QuakeWorld)
Thresh vs MikeJ on DM6 (late-night internet match, very tough competition)

http://www.shugashack.com/ (click on DM Demos):
QuakeCon/CPL match: sCary vs. Thorn on DM4 (both plaayers' POV--sCary the
QW player is obviosly not used to normal Quake, since he misses nearly all
his rocket jumps, but it's still an intense match featuring two of my
favorite players to watch). Plus all his other QW r3v demos (2v2, 3v3, or
4v4 matches on DM3) are fun to watch too.

(and many more...)

more demos sites:

http://www.demolition.org/ (a European site)
http://24.131.152.7/ (a huge archive)
http://www.planetquake.com/sda/ (the Speed Demos Archive, kind of a sister
site to QdQ)
