Well, nice try Simon... :-) but when I take out the wavelancard (that is
inside the basestation and it does the real job) and put it into my
powerbook pcmci slot, it just works fine as transmitter or receiver (I
can join an airport network or be a basestation, I only have to
reconfigure the software).

You don't need to have 4 wires in a telephone cable, 2 are enough, you
can still talk and listen at the same time...

I agree, to achieve my dream I cannot have the 2 basestations work at
the same time as 'transmitter' (that is the factory setting), I just
would like to reconfigure the software of one basestation, to turn it
into a 'receiver'. Nobody has really convinced me yet that this can't be
done.
