The new GARMIN GPS II PLUS touts leading edge performance with 
the PhaseTrac 12(tm) GPS engine (12 parallel channels).   This 
product is sure to offer amazingly fast satellite acquisition and 
tight satellite lock, even in the toughest conditions i.e. tree 
cover.  More than just an ultra-reliable receiver, the GPS II 
PLUS offers enhanced operating software.  New user-selectable 
ICONS, 500 user WPTs and position averaging; to list a few.  The 
GPS II PLUS is packed in a rugged case supporting a high-contrast 
LCD display with electro-luminescent backlighting.
