Yes you can update your database by means of the update disk sold by
Garmin.

Yes, it can be done via the < The GPS Database Management Package>.
You can add, delete or change several things (airports, VOR's, NDB's,
etc.) in your GPS 95XL database.
Available on the WWW on
http://www.abnormal.com/~thogard/
The program can only load the data from the original Garmin database
(update disk), so you will have to buy that.

Succes!

Since my name came up in this...
There is a program to read the database files that come on the standard
Garmin update disks and put it in a database. There is another program
that will take that database and filter it and create an update image
as well as apply bath fixes. There is a third program that transfers
that image (or a Garmin image) to a GPS95 or GPS90 (and maybe an GPS89)

I didn't write the program and have nothing to do with it other than
provide ftp space for it. It was written by someone in Europe because
the Jeep data for Europe has too many errors. The program used to come
with and a list of about 450 "fixes" for areas near England. I have
been told that if you remove countries that you have no need for, it
speeds up the display quite a bit.

For this to work you need an origial Garmin update disk, a cable and
an aviaion GPS reciver.

The program is at:
