GPS3d version 1.15 has just been released.

Get it from here:

        http://www.mgix.com/gps3d

For people that are not familiar with GPS3d, here's a short description:

    - Open source freeware, client-server model

    Server:
            - can rebroadcast a GPS device's (or any serial device)
output over the internet
            - can multiplex acces to the GPS device both in read and
write mode

    Client:
            - can connect to any gpsd GPS rebroadcast server over the
internet
            - displays a 3D spherical texture-mapped model of the earth
            - displays GPS satellites trajectories
            - displays current fix
            - displays waypoint database
            - displays loadable track
            - can display/calculate great circle arcs
            - can dynamically load road maps from MapBlast over the
internet
and display them patched onto the earth sphere. This
feature
lets you "paint" road maps on the earth's surface
interactively.
            - has a new "automap" mode, where the 3D camera
automatically follows
the current fix and loads MapBlast road maps as the fix
moves.

If you do not have a GPS device nor a server to connect to, you can
still
play with the client (viz) to explore the earth via the MapBlast
dynamic
    download.

    Enjoy,

            - Emmanuel
