It works with every Garmin hand-held I have used it with: FIRST: Clear or re-name all three-digit waypoint names. SECOND: Save the first waypoint, then manually edit the automatically assigned number to whatever you want it to be, then save it. Subsequent waypoints will be numbered sequentially from this value. This procedure certainly works with the following Garmin units: GPS45, GPS45XL, eMap, Etrex Vista, GPS III+, GPS V. I would expect it to do as well with just about any other Garmin.
