I have a Magellan Meridian Gold GPS and asked for a SD-card from the shop
where I bought my GPS. I got an 64MB MMC (MultiMediaCard) made by SipleTech.
And I just slot it in and it worked fine from first second. But someone on
this NG has reported that some cards are slower than other. But all SD card
should work acording to the Magellan homepage.

Here in Norway there are 512MB SD card for sale, but I dont know if the
Meridian can handle that. Others here on the NG reports using 128MB with no
trouble.
