Newbie dumb question, Using City Select.

On my Garmin V, with v2.02 firmware, if I select a route...any route and I
want to "Invert the route".
I've gone from point A to point B, now I want to go from point B back to
point A along the SAME route....No, it wants to take me from point B to
point A via a different route???? which is a longer, slower distance??
Do not understand
Help
